PSL 1

I am pretty excited about taking this course this semester. I am ready to start on the path towards Education and this is my first "real" class in doing so. This class should be really beneficial to all those involved and it is going to be a really interesting semester because of all the different types of teachers this class contains. The idea of an open classroom is very exciting. In a college atmosphere sometimes that gets lost with a professor who just wants to lecture all the time. In an open classroom you get to hear many different opinions, some similar to your ideas and some maybe totally the opposite but you learn to listen and gain a different perspective and try to see where they are coming from, which is a lot like teaching in a classroom I suppose. I am looking forward to using the tools developed in this class to move forward in my career as a teacher. The topics "Classroom management and Critical Thinking" and "Learner Diversity" really stand out to me and those topics I think, along with the others of course, are going to give me a better understanding on just exactly what it is like to go from the student to the teacher and being able to see how I have learned and how others have learned.
